Representatives of the UN-SPIDER RSO in Ukraine, Prof. Nataliia Kussul, Prof. Andrii Shelestov, Dr. Sergii Skakun, took part in the Fourth United Nations International UN-SPIDER Bonn Workshop on Disaster Management and Space Technology: “The 4C – Challenge: Communication – Coordination – Cooperation – Capacity Development” that was held from 12 – 14 October 2010, Bonn, Germany. |
The Workshop was organized by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
The main topics of this years workshop was
-
- Space technology in support of risk and disaster management,
- Satellite communications technology,
- International support mechanisms and SpaceAid, and
- The UN-SPIDER network.
